What customers say?

“ My friend and I went there for the roast chicken Sunday dinner special. It’s was all delicious! The champagne but the glass was delicious, the salad, the fries and the chicken was succulent. We were shocked that this neighborhood gem wasn’t packed with other locals in the know. Highly recommend! ”

“ Had a lovely dinner here with an out of town guest. Very good food, nice menu selection and specials as well as very good wine. The decor was charming and had nicely spaced tables for a compact space. Actually kind of surprised the restaurant was not busy at all for a Friday night, maybe because I had heard it is a fairly new establishment. Had the steak frites, duck breast, beet salad, fried cauliflower and creme brulee. All very tasty. Next time will try the classical specials such as cassoulet and cog au vin. Attentive and efficient service, nice music, very pleasant vibe. ”

“ Wine was great. I really love the vibes!!!! Will try to come back ”

“ Great food, great atmosphere, excellent French wine selection from the South West of France. Thank you André. We'll be back. ”

“ My friends and I had a great brunch here last weekend. The wine and service were wonderful. Very relaxed. We had the Eggs Basquaise and Duck Reuben, which were both excellent, but our Pastrami Hash (pictured) lacked flavor. ”

“ Had a bit of time, so walked the Castro in SF. Happened on Aquitaine and was drawn in by the atmosphere, couches and homey decor. Not many folks at 4pm, the staff seemed like good friends enjoying working together. Pleasant music, so I decided to try it. I got the special, a reasonable price for the area. I’m glad I tried it, and am inspired to recommend it. ”

- Andrew Stock -

“ The food is SO delicious, fun cocktails and good coffee. Great place to have a relaxed brunch. Service was slow, food took over an hour to arrive but they might have been understaffed that day. I would go again but not if I'm in a rush. ”
